So, I'm working Faire this time (Northern California)--as a boothie, as opposed to dancing in it/goofing about there. I've got what I'm pretty sure is passable garb (I've asked in the past, and people say it's alright). However, I know that I need to have my costume approved officially before I can actually participate and was just wondering what exactly was involved in this? I know it's pretty early still, but I've just trying to get on the right wavelength since I'm in the middle of sewing some new stuff right now, and the thought occurred to me! Thanks! :D

Re: Costume approval?
Thu, April 3, 2008 - 7:46 AMBasically...
You go before who ever it is that is doing approval, and she/he says yes or no... alot depend on where you are working...
What type of fabric are you using, what colors, what kind of shoes are you going to wear...
No I'm not the person who does the approval, but I've done a 'few' (cough cough 18 years worth) faires...
Good luck

Re: Costume approval?
Fri, April 4, 2008 - 9:31 AMYes, what Angus said.
But also more specifically, whomever you are working for/with, the boothowner, will be approving your costume.
If you ever move over to ENT, it's Molly, as our ENT director, or her designated sub.
